Deep Tissue Massage Muswell Hill
Deep Tissue Massage Muswell Hill uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).
Whilst some of the strokes are the same as in Swedish massage, the pace tends to be slower and the pressure applied is stronger and concentrated on painful, problem areas.
Techniques are applied using forearms, elbows and knuckles as well as hands in order to break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle “knots” or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain and inflammation and limit range of movement.
Deep Tissue Massage can be used for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and back, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. And may help with the following conditions: Lower back pain, limited mobility, recovery from injury, postural problems, muscle tension in the hamstrings, glutes, IT band, legs, quadriceps, Osteoarthritis pain, Fibromyalgia & upper back or neck pain.
After your massage, you may feel some stiffness or soreness, but it should subside within a day or so. Drinking water after your massage may help to flush the metabolic waste from the tissues.
